Sky-high Electricity Bill - Please Advise!

get an 'owl' - I think it's called - which clips to your meter and shows how much electricity you're using at a time. You can then unplug everything and see how much the meter on its own is costing. If you contact your local authority's sustainable development officer, they may be able to loan you one for a few weeks.
Electric fires are really expensive - on the plus side it's spring....Bern :j0
