Bear with me here..lol
I have had my vanquis card 2 yrs or so now, i always spend and pay it off - i use it for my work expenses and pay in full once re-claimed from work.
Card expired in feb this year. No card in post so called them up, they said new one would be with me soon.
A week/10 days later - few days prior to end of feb still no new card still so called them up again. They said new card would be with me soon.
In meantime i got one of the 'you have been pre-approved for a vanquis card' letters through the door. Thought nothing of it assumed it was marketing material etc, no new card.
Ws told to call back in a week if no card. No new card still, so called on last wednesday, was told card was deffo on way - cb in 7 days if not got it. Got another 'you have been pre-approved ' letter through door, but still no card.
Called today and have been told that i need to send the docs back and sign the agreement on the letter until i dop that they cant send me a card, yes they are talking about the pre-approved letter???
Explained i was already a customer and was sinply awaiting a new card as last on expired last month.... they are still telling me i need to sign and return this pre-approved thing
Now, i know that cant be right as
1. I am sure you arent allowed 2 vanquis cards??? right or wrong?
2. The form states new credit agreement and checks will be made - but i am already a customer!!
3. Letter states card limit intially upto £1000, but i already have a £2000 limit with them??!!
I have never missed a payment or anything, so i am puzzled/concerned as to what to do now! There is an outstanding balance on the card as i get my expenses on the 18th of the month so they havent closed it due to non activity or whatever (can they even do that lol)
Anyway what do i do! Having a cc isnt a must but its handy as i can keep work and personal on different cards and expenses are easy, plus it saves my paying upfront with my own cash and then claiming back iykwim?

give hthem a ring and say you havent received your new replacement card as the card you currently have has expired, ask them to do the lost and stolen procedure.... new card will arrive in 7/10wd although it will come with a new acc number and pin number0

So you let your card expire, did nothing about it and now expect a new credit agreement without it being an err... agreement.
You'll need to ask why the account expired and then apply for a new one if you have to.
Don't see a problem with that.0 -
If you read the OP's post you'll see that they have been doing something about it, and it's vanquis that are trying to get the OP to sign up to a new agreement. So you let your card expire, did nothing about it and now expect a new credit agreement without it being an err... agreement.

RBS did this with me, when I (finally) got around to asking where my new card was they said that the credit agreement had expired and I would need to re-apply. Suffice to say their acceptance criteria had changed in the 3 years since my last card so I got declined !! I really would chase and chase in case they do this to you........ I wonder if it's a way of getting rid of not profitable people ?0

Thanks all, i have called them again and been told the same thing.. i need to sign the agreement - i asked why seeing as i was existing customer - they couldnt answer me. I actually have a balance on the account of about £400 so it will interesting to see what my statement says it should be here any day now. I was promised someone from a different department would call me back today, but we will see.
thanks all0
