Used to work there as Assistant Manager but things may of changed since then (Left about 3yrs ago)
As said before Clearance is ongoing but the bargains are to be had at Final Clearance time which happens twice a year around Feb/Mar and September I think.
Every reduction is generally a further 1/3 off the price. Example: Original price £19.99 then £13 then £9 then £6, £4, all the way down to 30p. Most lines obviously never reach that low before they are sold. You will find the staff doing the reductions generally take quite a large chunk of the decent stuff for themselves (about the only perk of working there).
What happens though is that if an item misses a reduction (ie. item is in fitting room when that rail is being scanned) then it skips a reduction which means if it is £13 it could actually be £9 or even lower. The price will match the barcode however so if you notice an item in the clearance section that seems more expensive than similar items then sweet talk the Customer Services who can check the current selling price0 -
