First Direct postcards - Free Money!

FD recently sent me three 'postcards' -- I give them to friends or family, and if they open a FD account and have a balance of £100+ by September we both get £25. An easy £75 for me -- or so I thought!
But I'm amazed at how lethargic my friends are! They have the potential to get a £25 return for a total of about 10 minutes work filling in some forms! But their response has been, "Can't be bothered." Has anybody else encountered this kind of apathy?

They have to fill in some forms, and transfer some money, and get sent lots of bits of paper through the post, and have a credit check done...
I can see why some people might think it too much effort.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0 -
Yes, I've had the same problem. We had three cards since November. One son, is a 3rd year student, always in need of money, but form filling is too much of an effort. The eldest son who doesn't desperately need the money in the same way as he's earning, said he would do it, but I see the form and reminder from them is still sitting on his desk! I've tried about 3 times on this site to give away the postcards, and contacted about 10 people personally but with no joy.0

I appled using a reference on a flyer in a magazine offering £35.
Got the third degree & had to send in 3m statements before I got approved for an account. This despite me having a credit card with them, so they must have had some history on file.
Waited the 28 days & no money appeared. E-mailed them for a response - told I would be contacted within 7 days...that was today.
Not very impressed so far. Won't be giving up my smile account!Ethical moneysaver0
