Converted coach insurance?

Ok following on from another thread:
We sold our beloved converted Mercedes campervan to upgrade and we've now bought a full size coach to convert ourselves :rolleyes: .
Anyhoo, our insurance quote has gone from £180 odd (from the merc) to £490 TPO! :eek:
Would it be cheaper to insure our coach as a camper or as a private use only coach (not neading a psv)? Or, has anyone here been mad enough to buy a coach and got a reasonable deal on thier insurance?

You need to insurer it as what ever it is at the moment. If it is still a coach then insure it as such, if you have converted it to a camper then you need to declare all the conversions you have made to it. Tying to "fix" the description to get you the lowest quote would invalidate your insuranceAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
