Wed 10th March - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Back into the fray as they say today - first day back at work for a while - not especially looking forward to it because I feel so behind

Anyway - peedie still snoring on the bed - so some things are clearly back to normal!!

    Today
    Check banks
    Move some cash about
Remind OH gently that I'd really appreciate some flight money
    Store cupboard tea
Check up on this weeks teaching and tentatively ask about how/if/when I am getting paid
Feed chookie - she loves the new pellets we got which are supplementing the grain - collect eggs
Stick ad on freegle/freecycle for a few more hens that's where we got her
Look at snow drops in garden and see if any have stopped flowering - am selling a pile on ebay later this month
    Work hard
Check emails to see about amazon sales if any
    Walk puppy
Speak ot OH about booking holidays
    Charge phone at work
Need to tax the car this month will do it online and 1 year instead of 6 months to save a wee bit of money (£15)
Order spare part for campervan and phone local garage
Think of cunning ways to up my income this month - got plants and seeds to sort out.
Sparkle (!) not feeling much like it but will have a go.........

Hugs to all - need to write to my brother in law and his children to see if I can persuade them to visit us at some point, they mentioned when we were down that they'd like to come - and maybe a change of scene will help at some point..........

Oh and send a mothers day card (!) second class post will still be OK

  • Hey T that reminds me - I need to look out the clippers for my dog - he hated going to the groomer person - so I did a DIY job with some interesting bits of chicken to distract him - I must say despite my reservations - he still looked as scruffy as ever - the lady here did a 'lion cut' on him and he looked very stupid - I just did a once over with the old hair clippers and he didn't look quite so daft. But he's starting to look like hairy mclairy now so he needs a haircut soon!!

Thanks for the reminder and your birthday sounded lovely!xx
