Wiring Question

Hi,

I need to relocate my room thermostat (it's a wireless one so the new location won't upset the heating at all). I need to extend the existing wiring by about 2m. The current cable contains a red, blue, yellow and earth cable, although the earth is not used. My question is, what cable type do I need to buy to do this job. It's quite confusing all the different types available!

Thanks in advance.

    as previous post
you need 3 core & earth lighting cable
the new colours are black/brown/grey and earth use black for the blue/brown for the red/grey for the yellow

  • I was going to suggest a wireless one then I noticed you say you are using a wireless one. So why do you need to extend wires?
