tickets and zones

If I buy a zone 1 and 2 annual travel card could I use a bus in zone 3 to a tube station in zone 2? The reason I ask is that I heard buses are not zoned.

Thanks

Correct, a travelcard is valid for all buses in Greater London regardless of the zone it covers.

Unless anyone knows better you can do that.

This is correct, a travel card which covers any zone will allow you to use any london bus. I believe its about getting people off the tubes onto buses.
