Mini Power Steering Failure

I had a BMW mini convertible soon after they were introduced.

They had a catalogue of design faults - this included the rear side windows would get an ark shaped scratch gound into them, the rear glass windows would explode out in cold weather and holes would wear in the hoods after a few weeks.

Judging by how difficult owners found it to get their cars repaired under warranty when only a few months old, I think you would have 2 hopes with a 9 year old one. They wanted to charge me for a new hood after 5 months, they only relented after 3 weeks arguing and printing off pages of evidence from other owners that it was a comon problem and design fault

I won't be buying another Mini or BMW any time soon!
