Am looking to upgrade my memory but don't understand the difference between High Density and Low Density.

How do I know which to go for please?

    Have run that, thanx, but it still doesn't tell me which 'Density' my ram is or am I being thick??

    I'm not sure what you mean by high and low density. Where are you getting those terms from? density should only be something for manufacturers to worry about not the consumer.

    I'm looking to buy the ram from ebay, the seller states that it is High Density & if it should turn out to be Low Density needed, then he has a no return policy.

    As I am wanting 4GB (2 x 2GB for two machines), I don't want to make a costly mistake.

    Strange, never heard of it before, how dense the transistors are on the chip makes no difference to the connection and how it works. Do you have the item number so I can look at the listing?
