Flat backing onto train line

this is what we thought when we put our house on the market. Ok yes we are close to the line (it's at the end of our garden) but the station is only a 5 minute walk with a direct line into Waterloo (about 30 minutes) so we assumed it would make it more attractive to someone who wants to commute.
It goes both ways really. Purchasing this property enabled us to move up to a 3 bed semi (being a little cheaper) and although it went on the market for a figure less than a house around the corner (we went on at £238,500 - one house on the opposite side of the road was on at £255,000) we've still made loads of equity and there will always be someone who is never bothered about the trains
Trains have never bothered me and in fact we're moving to a property which is near another train line0
