child maintenance when serving

It's all rather stupid imho because when he comes back he will only have a pile of arrears to contend with.
Which is okay if he DOES have to pay that arrears and they cannot simply ship him off somewhere to avoid it again!
What is with these people that would want to shirk financial responsibility for their children, even for a short time? (need that confused smiley desperately:))."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

Thats part of the job though is it not?
(need that confused smiley too)
Just trying to picture the scene now, soldier with a tabbard on which reads 'please don't kill me, I have to pay CSA when I get back home' :think:0 -

What on Earth is your problem? The fact that he is a soldier does not alter the fact that he is also a parent and that parents should be the ones paying for their children!"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Thanks everyone, appreciate your comments, hopefully more advice will be added, but I think this is something the MP should take up and challenge as it is very unfair on the family0

No problem different to yours, yes the father has a responsibility, just as the mother does, you have to appreciate, as passionate as you are, not everybody else is, and WILL NOT spend every woken minute just thinking of money to the children as if nothing else in life matters
Six o clock news right now bleets on about more soldiers passing away (but who gives a hoot eh, csa is the only way)0 -
If the CSA has made an error would she not be able to make a complaint and get some sort of compensation?
Its very wrong, because its not like he can be spending a whole lot of money whilst serving out in the sand pit!!!
Just like any other NRP regardless of their job, he has an obligation to provide for his children.
I'm sure there are probably others in the same boat or should I say tank?!
Good luck and let us know if there is any progress.Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -

You know, you are really making very little sense:D Are you drunk?:D
I do, however, get the impression you are a NRP who feels that the PWC is the one who should support the children (or the state) whilst the NRP just walks away to their new life.
I believe there are other equally important things in life to be given to a child: that does not mean that a NRP should just be allowed to wash their hands of the financial responsibility, whatever their job."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

Yes the £50 is a standard thing, but for that , you are unlikely to even buy the latest fashion trainers.
I think where the other respondant (the miserable one) is getting confused is that whilst the NRP is away serving, then they are not as readily avaialble to be filling in forms and taking calls from the csa , I would imagine that once a schedule is in progress then that would still stand, what is clear in all this from reading many posts on MSE, the only ones really upset are the ones turning the situation into some kind of battle , everybody just chill :beer:0
