Sounds like very little assets in this marriage. She should try and persuade him to give her as much as possible for the kids sake, otherwise she may never see any money. If he spent it, and has no assets, she will never see an equitable share.0

I think that is what she is concerned about that by the time it goes through the solicitor he will have spent it all on cars/women/holidays etc
is there nothing she can do to prevent him getting rid of all the money?
it seems so unfair that she is struggling after standing by him for years and he thinks he is doing right by her by offering 2k out of 28k
He also has another claim outstanding, is there anything she can do to make a claim on behalf of the children if not for herself, ultimately the money will go on them anyway
He doesn't make his CSA payments on time (2 months in arrears at present), doesn't offer to help with anything such as shoes/trips etc (although I am aware this is what Maintenance is for - but he isn't paying this/can't be relied upon to pay this).
She has contacted the CSA but they say there is nothing they can do even though they have been told he is coming into this money as he would need to have assets in excess of 60k - what a joke
I can see what he will do here, pay his car off buy a new one, pee it all up against the wall... and she will be left struggling.
maybe she should have taken the 2k?2007 £1749
