Hey All,
Just wondering if anyone knows in which (if any) UK supermarkets or chains you can buy;
1. corn dogs - were quite common 10 years ago but dissappeared
2. ikea-style frozen meatballs - love having frozen meatballs in the freezer, so useful and convenient, but its a pain to get to ikea, and I dont have the freezer space to buy 5 bags every time i go
Any help would be appreciated!!

Yes you can freeze themI always keep some in as OH is fond of them (I have no idea why ...) and Sainsbury's ocasionally have them on offer. They were recently BOGOF. Tastewise, I think they're a bit 'stronger' than the IKEA ones, they seem to be a bit more heavily seasoned. They're not that different though.

I buy Asda meatballs, they do pork ones or beef ones and both are absolutely delicious.
I also stock up when they are on offer and freeze them.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Not swedish but Birds Eye now do frozen meatballs. I got some in Asda last week. They taste very similar to their burgers, but were great in a sauce with spagetti.0

The Co-op have meatballs on offer at the moment, no idea how they compare to the Ikea ones though. http://value.co-operative.coop/meat-and-poultry.asp. You could make some and freeze them too, easy enough.0

I made some for the first time at the weekend. It was really easy.
1 lb of mince steak
1 onion (I grated it as I cant manage to chop finely enough !)
breadcrumbs (i used about 2 slices)
1 beaten egg
salt & pepper
Mixed all together with my hands and shaped into balls a little smaller than golf balls.
I got 16 out of the mixture and they have frozen nicely.0 -

I'm Swedish and can recommend the Swedish meatballs you can buy in Asda they are quite authentic in taste,
otherwise the recipe above from Tabatha Kitten is what I would suggest if you do want to make your own.0 -
