Halifax Reward and BOS Reward

Just looking at the terms and conditions of these accounts but can't see anywhere that you cant have current reward accounts with both.

Does this mean me and my partner could cycle 1k around 6 accounts gain around 36% interest a year or is this just not possible

you can have a max of 2 accounts each (1 joint). Unfortunately you've missed the deadline for 3 accounts each.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Yes I understand that but i cant see anywhere that it says you cant do it across Halifax and BOS ev en though thay are the HBOS group

I believe they've got wise to the BoS/Halifax speculators.

Having one now seems to prevent you from getting the other. Even if you manage to get another one open the chances are they'll subsequently close it as they have with many of us.
  • But their is no actual Condition under which they can do this?

How about the one that says "we can close your account at any time with 2 months notice"?

    See condition 28.2

1.2 In these conditions ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ means Bank of Scotland plc (Halifax is a division of Bank of Scotland).

So in effect, a Halifax Reward Current Account is a Bank of Scotland Reward Current Account, so the same terms & conditions apply, regardless of branding. They do not operate as separate entities, it's the same bank.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.
