microsoft Office 2000 Excel Help

Hi

I am using microsoft excel on office 2000 and can't remeber how to do something be grateful if anyone could tell me how to:

i'm wanting a column with 1 to 500 in it but i think there's a way to do it with out typing each number?

format all cells to "text" then try.

Type in the numbers 1, 2, 3 in the columns as you want the rest to go, highlight them and drag down from the corner of the bottom cell

In cell A1 type 1
In cell B1 type = A1+1
Drag cell B2 down by the handle in the bottom right hand corner of the cell.

Or if you don't fancy filling down 500 rows, type 1 in the starting cell, click that cell then on the Edit menu click Fill - Series. Select Columns, Linear, Step value 1, Stop 500. OK
