Gloss Painting Advice Please

I am after some advice before I start on a huge gloss painting excercise, to gloss all the doors in my house again.

I get on well with a gloss roller, but should I shake the tin of gloss first as I find it is better if it is shaken but the instructions on the back of the tin say not to.

Also is it ok to take the doors off to gloss then ( I was going to do it in the garage)?

Any other gloss advice much appreciated.

i took all my interior doors off (7) and did them under the car port. flat. with a roller.
i always stir the paint no matter what it may say on the tin.
