just wondered whether its worth the move onto their new tariff when it starts if it will be dropped by 6%. Not sure what the exit fee is ie £30 for gas and elec or £30 each

    Hi OnTheUp :hello:

The cancellation fee is £30 for dual fuel on the FixOnline 4 tariff.

Do you mean moving on to a Standard tariff that will be affected by the price decrease? If so, you would need to establish if the 6% drop would work out better than the discount that you currently get on the FixOnline 4.

Hi EON rep. Am i right that the standard tariff is the same as the tariff in fixonline3. What exactly is being reduced in the announced price reduction. I am on fixonline 3 and its getting outdated now. Is it worth paying a fee to go on fixonline 6 in light of the coming reduction or wait and see what transpires in the way of new deals.

    also for eonrep;

I am renting a property on a rolling month contract so may leave at a months notice and have dual fuel costing about £600pa. I have just gone onto track and save and monthly DD. Is there a better tariff available to me with no tie in?
    thanks.

    Hi jep49 :hello:

None of the FixOnline tariffs will see a reduction as the unit prices are fixed.

At the moment FixOnline 6 is one of our most competitive tariffs, but you can always check out the comparison sites as well.

I don't know what new deals will come out following the price reduction, we find out when you do.

    Hi pmcx9 :hello:

You are on one of the better tariffs with no tie in already, however, you could change on to any of the tariffs even with a cancellation fee and when you move take your tariff with you to your new house, then you won't be charged.

Have a look at the website or a comparison site to see what would make you the most savings.

Or use my email address under my name and I can do it for you :D

Hi E.ON Rep, hope you can help me out with a few questions please.

I am currently on the SaveOnline tarrif, i changed to this around November last year, i assume there is no cancelation fee on this?

Is this tariff going to be reduced?

Woukld it be worth switching to the FixOnline 6 - as this has the same kWhs proces for both gas & electric, but has a more than double the online discount (Tesco points don't bother me as i see these are not included)

    Thanks for any help

    Hi deefadog :hello:

There is no cancellation fee for the SaveOnline tariff, so you are free to change your prices without penalty.

The SaveOnline tariff will see the 6% gas reduction in the unit prices.

I think the best thing to do would be to look at the website to see if the FixOnline 6 tariff would make you more of a saving as it does have a high discount, compared to a 6% reduction on your current prices.

FixOnline 6 does have a cancellation fee.

I will be happy to help with the figures, if you would prefer, use the email address on the left under my name :D

    Thanks!

well the saveonline currently has 15.6% discount for each service (is this how you work it out, combining the 6% DD + 2% Dual Fuel + 7.6% online discounts, so should be getting 15.6% of my gas bill and 15.6% of my electricity bill.

With the FixOnline 6 - I will be getting 24.1% off Gas & 24.1% of electric

So with the extra 6% taken of the unit price on the online tariff will this work out cheaper or am i better switching?

    Thanks

    Hi deefadog,

Not sure if I have read your post right :o But just to clarify, On the FixOnline 6 you will receive a total of 24.1% discount off your dual fuel bill.

The same applies to SaveOnline a total of 15.6% discount.

On the SaveOnline tariff, the price reduction only applies to the gas.

So i would be better off switching to the fixed online 6 then?
