Both Rospa and IAM are very similar but I've been made aware that niether really offer any discount on an insurance premium. I did my advanced course whilst in the Police which is far more involved and pressured and this gives a heafty insurance discount. I'm now a member of the IAM and can rate any sort of course along the lines of roadcraft as very beneficial. Another benefit is using a wide variety of vehicles, doing my motorcycle licence taught me almost as much about positioning and awareness as the Police course.0
