I'm sorry to hear that some have had problems with Debenhams, I order very regularly much at hubbies disapproval and I agree every now and then I find, sometimes a week later that the item was out of stock but only on sale and clearance items. Most items are received quickly and I have never been charged incorrectly, but customer services seem very helpful to resolve any issues.
I hope some peoples bad experiences do not stop others from ordering. Debenhams online stock system isn't the greatest and it can take a few minutes for somethng to show out of stock (hence some items being cancelled) but I do feel Marks and Spencer's comes out at the all time worst!Comping wishlist for 2017

Just make sure you check your credit and debit card statements as although the invoice/delivery note/confirmation says the same one price, the amount charged is often different.
Customer services told me 'I can see you have bought at £x.xx and that your card has been charged at £x.xx but there is nothing I can do as the finance department takes the money and does refunds'. When I asked if theycould send a message because they had ignored all of mine and they said 'no, you would have to do that'. Only sending a letter to their Head Office threatening action to get it got me a refund.
I feel people should be warned about this.
If you have not checked the order placed against your statement before then I would do so now - many don't, my husband never, ever checks his statments against his receipts and I am sure many others do not either.
This applies when you have bought sale items and/or used a discount code. I'd never use them again because I cannot be bothered with the fight if I get overcharged.
M&S have never overcharged me but their deliveries have a lot to answer for!!0 -

That's if you get your things, do not assume you'll get anything until you get a dispatched email - often they just refund you as their website cannot cope with the orders placed.
Considering their repuation on the High Street they have to be THE worst online retailer ever!!
I would say don't assume you'll get anything until it turns up! I ordered a dress last week, got a despatch email the same day and nothing turned up. Emailed to chase and got nowhere, kept chasing for four days and was eventually told that the order had been stuck in the system and the dress had never actually been despatched. Now out of stock so am awaiting refund. There customer service is appalling when something goes wrong! I used to order regularly but never again.0 -
I would NEVER order anything online from Debenhams, based on all the problems I have read about on here over the years.:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

Also had apauling service, money taken from my card then the orderwas cancled, they then 3 weeks later after 4 phone calls still say they never took it, I can clearly see they have in my stament, complete nightmare will never order from them again. They now want a copy of my CC stament .. what a joke..:mad:People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

I'm normally the first to moan when something goes wrong but I find Debenhams excellent, Its become my favourite online shop! Aside from all the bargains I seem to be getting, I find the shipping really quick too!
I just love Debs!0 -
I have to agree with Lisae03 - I love Debenhams. The service is quick and have always got everything I ordered and returns are credited back to my card quickly. The only gripe I do have is that is continues to display items that are out of stock, but apart from that I shop with them a lot:)If my post helps you, please click the 'thanks' button. :T0

I still like Debenhams, always great items and some great bargains, its very much win some lose some and I am happy with that. Finally a pair of shoes I had ordered a week and a half ago have moved to despatch, no tracking number and to the wrong address - can't win them all I suppose - I would say out of twenty orders four have had problems, goodness know why, but I am addicted. :rotfl:Comping wishlist for 2017
