I do use tools, and clear regular history on a frequent basis - would this be causing me problems

ive never had a problem with disapearing buttons in firefox, ive had some tool bars take over and mess up my search pages and typing into the address bar and on one occasion they messed up my remembered passwords... (actually that was norton rolleyes.gif)

im now using 3.6 after completely removing firefox 3.5.whatever removing all trace, then installing 3.6

I like Firefox and I normally use it all the time - but in the past week I can't see any photos on my photobucket account when i'm on Firefox. People can see them on here when I post them, but I can't. When I go onto IE I don't have a problem. It's very strange.

uninstall remove everything and start again, ive had people with that problem, re-install usually fixes. Might also fix your back button problem too :)

I've just updated to 3.6, I think it automatically took 3.5 off as I didn't specifically remove it myself but can't find this version when I check the programmes list.

    Hopefully this will fix it..

Is it just losing the back button or does the reload/hom/print etc buttons also disappear.
As a work around use the alt and <-- (left arrow)

Obvious things to check for is if somethings running that shouldnt be

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

What 'add ons' are running in firefox?

Thanks guys, I will take a look at this tonight, or else at the weekend. Appreciate the workaround tip, didn't know about this.

Don't know whether to go from Firefox to IE but on this forum Firefox seems more popular from what I have read so far..

I just removed firefox and reverted back to IE and the back button problem (touch wood) has gone away...

I'd been experiencing this problem for weeks..
