Well after us thinking there wasn't anything happening on our wedding day, we learned over the weekend its only the blooming Grand National!!! I watch it every year without fail and its the one bet I make a year!! We will be just having the speeches when the race starts so I think I might have to have a word with our venue and ask about a TV or radio being brought out!! Might see if I can stretch the budget to include a £1 win bet for each adult guest! Maybe a lucky dip type thing at the drinks reception! would certainly be a talking point!!

Had a productive weekend, me and OH got our wedding fragrances. OH has decided to stick with what he loves (and I adore!) which is Joop, and I've got Vera Wang, Princess. So thats that sorted. Also ordered DD1&2's tights and my slip as my dress shows my underwear at the back (but not the front lol) also booked to have nails done Friday afternoon and eyebrows waxed in the morning. Brought a wax kit too and OH is going to do it for me! Never waxed anything other than my eyebrows and only ever had it done professionally, so should be an experience!!

Also I have a quick question, (might be TMI) but I was due "on" on Saturday, which was perfect as I would of been finished by the wedding, but the past 2 months i've started later which now means I will still be "on" on Saturday, I've not come on yet so would it be possible to go to the doctor to get anything to stop it or would I be laughed out the surgery?? I just don't wanna have to worry about that as well

Just came on here to wish you all luck & congratulations!!! My wedding's in August & I can't wait! Going to one on 16th April which is going to be fab!

sammr85 - you can get something to take to postpone it. A friend I know got some when she went travelling as she didn't want to be on while she was away. Book an appointment & I'm sure your doc will help xxx

Just wandering over from the May 2011 brides thread to say yes there is definitely a certain drug you can get from your doctor to delay your period, they give it out all the time so please don't worry about being laughed out of the surgery!
(I'm assuming you're not on the pill as you could just run two packs together otherwise). x

Been so busy with wedding stuff the past couple of weeks, I don't know where time has gone!

Had my make-up trial on saturday which went really well and have my hair trial tonight, exciting! Only problem is I still have no idea how to have my hair! Hoping my hairdresser will have some amazing inspiration when I turn up...

My hen do is this weekend and I am ridiculously excited about that! Even the email from the cocktail company confirming that our bartender for Friday is 'Stuart' put a stupid grin on my face!

Hope everyone is doing well and in full wedding mode... only 25 days to go!!! :j

Sammr85, we're getting married THIS WEEK!!!!

Just spoken to our registrar on the phone and she sounds so lovely. Really put my mind at ease as the ceremony was the bit I was most worried about. She explained everything with me and what will happen on the day so very relieved now! Just 72 more hours until theory gets put into practice! xx

We booked a pig in a bag yesterday http://www.pigroastparty.co.uk/page3.html £340 for 80 people and they apparently over cater by 10% so sounds good. you get bread rolls, apple sauce and stuffing for that as well. It was great to find a site that had prices on it and a company that gets back to you within a few hours. The amount of people you never hear back from is madness in this economic climate round this area.

Sitting in the V-room at the airport, after a very emotional goodbye to my Dad - he cried, which made me cry - no-one is coming out with us, and I'm his first daughter to get married. I'm still feeling quite emotional now.
