Industrial Action - Virgin Trains CrossCountry
Industrial action by Train Managers on Virgin Trains CrossCountry services is proposed for four days from Friday 28 July until Monday 31 July.
If the industrial action goes ahead the following will apply:
- Customers already holding tickets will be able to travel on Virgin CrossCountry services on either of the following:
Thursday 27 July or Tuesday 1 August for tickets held for Friday 28, Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 July without penalty. Travel is also permitted on all services during the industrial action.
- Customers should travel, where possible, at or close to their original booked time.
- Full refunds on Virgin CrossCountry tickets will be available to customers who choose not to travel from the point of sale.
- Reservations are suspended during the strike period.
- Virgin West Coast services in and out of London Euston are not affected by the industrial action and will run to a normal timetable subject to any planned engineering work. Normal terms and conditions will apply on these services.

I've just spoken with Virgin Rail Customer Services (Tuesday 25 July 2006 at 16.30 hours) who confirm that the industrial action by Train managers on the Voyager cross Country services is still going ahead for the 4 days, 28 July to 31 July inclusive. There are some trains supposedly running on the Friday and Monday and if you check the Virgin Rail website you can download an Excel spreadsheet showing them.
Note that the West Coast services from London to the West Midlands, the North west and Scotland ARE NOT AFFECTED (excepting any engineering works that may be taking place!!)0 -

i have also spoken to virgin today and that first one was stopped,but this is a new one,i was told today
