It is very clear in the t's & c's that they can withdraw the service and OD at any time - you can't force someone to do business with you.
with all due respect, I recommend that you look at this link

And their quote is: 'Meanwhile the financial regulator has indicated that banks which have been closing the accounts of customers who take them to court, could be breaking the Banking Code.'
You'll need something more substantial to back up your claim. Are you prepared to argue a 'could' against the terms and conditions you sign up to ?0 -
If you had actually bothered to read exactly what I'd written, you would see that I'd typed MAY which doesn not imply a definite. Thankyou for wasting my time in having to clarify, this is not an elementary reading class.
So it's not rubbish.
I stand by my original point. The bank MAY be in breach of the Banking code.0 -

If your terms and conditions are deemed to be unfair - your signature is meaningless."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Oh Dear...don't argue...lets try and help with the original question of which bank Topcat can go for...0

Topcat, just to make you aware I was tld by Payplan that any IVA repayment has to be paid into the IVA. Hopefully they'll never pull you up on it but just so you know incase.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
Well done Topcat in getting your bank charges refunded - in my experience it is now standard practice for the bank at some stage before the court hearing to give in and refund charges but to then close the account - the obvious thing to do it seems to me is to be prepared for this eventuality and open a new account - stop using the one in dispute and then claim the charges back. Whether they are flouting the Banking Code I leave for others to argue about....0

Thanks guys!!! Appreciate the advice... it's much appreciated!0
