Stag Accomodation in Kilkenny?

I need to book rooms for a stag party at the end of August (likely 26.8.06). Probably between 12 and 18 people, for one night only, and we're looking for cheap and cheerful. Ideally we'd like to go to Kilkenny, but would be open to other options for a good night out. We're travelling down from NI, so don't need to worry about transport.
If anyone knows of a decent hotel which is fairly cheap (twin & triple rooms are fine), let me know about it. Also anyone else who has done the same type of thing recently, reccomendations greatly appreciated.
