Hello All!
Two years ago my OH bought me an Ipod mini and I got really into MP3s and I-Tunes, but it was costing me an absolute fortune to download the songs that I really liked - well, more the songs that I thought I might like! A couple of weeks ago my mate came back from uni for the weekend and introduced me to Last FM - it's an online radio-type-thingy. I'm not too sure how it works (not being the most technical of DFW's!) but there's a little radio player that sits on the desktop and plays tunes to you. If you like it then you click to tell it and same if you don't. Over time it builds a profile of music that you like and introduces new things that you might like. Now, I only download stuff if I definitely know that I like it.
Just thought others might like to know about it :beer:

Hey there,
Great tip, thank you. Some of my friends use something similar you might like - http://www.pandora.com/.
In the past couple of weeks, I have discovered podcasts! Free entertainment by Russell Brand, Chris Evans, Wogan and :money: among others to download for free every week! Much laughter! Have you tried these?
scottishspendaholic xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
I really enjoy podcasts too especially the ones related to disney world, but thanks for that tip though I'll def try it!!Just trying to be me.....0

I love podcasts - the Ricky Gervaise ones were absolutely brilliant! We took the ipod and a set of folding cardboards speakers from Muji (I think that they were £20 but we take them everywhere with us!) camping in Anglesey two weeks ago. It threw it down, so instead of spending the night in the pub, we went to the local shop, bought a bottle of wine and stayed in the tent laughing our heads off!Lightbulb Moment: January 2006

It is such a good idea to have both Last FM and Pandora now available - thanks to both of you for highlighting them. I think Pandora is slightly limited though in how many songs it can play within an hour - but I've really enjoyed spending the last 2 hours using them both !0

Thanks for that gentle reminder C_Ronaldo.
