How long did it take to get your first viewing?

We put our house on the market on Friday and was just wondering how long it took other people to get their first viewing?

Did it go on rightmove (or similar) on Friday? If so, then I would expect some people to trawl through the internet (or look in EA windows) during the weekend and aim to view the following weekend.

It is still dark enough in the evenings that people are put off viewings in the evenings during the week. Also, most folks work during the day so that's out for a lot of people also.

People who want to view next weekend will probably call the EA on Wednesday or Thursday this week when they know their weekend plans a bit better.

I think we put our house on the market on a Tuesday and got a couple of viewings on the Saturday so it does take a few days.

We put our flat on the market last Wednesday (3 March) and it went on Rightmove on Thursday (4 March). We had our first viewing yesterday (Monday 8 March).

I think the viewer was from the EA's mailing list, so we haven't yet had any interest via Rightmove.

Our EA described it as a "slow start" but said that sometimes it just works out that way. I'll be disappointed if we don't get any more viewings this weekend.

It takes time for the marketing to kick in, but depending on your location, house type etc, you should get a bite after a couple of weeks, if not, get onto your EA. If nothing after a month, get advice from your EA about how to take it forward.
