We had a meeting today and I have been told that the only way I will ever get a pay rise is to prove I am worth it by showing them a job offer for a similar role for more money. Grr!

I have nothing in writing other than the fact that my manager has sent off the official paperwork to be signed by senior management. I seem to have hit a brick wall today anyway and there isn't much I can do about, although I can show them plenty of jobs for more money!
