Would be grateful if anyone has any tips for send a long item - I've already asked on another board here.

  • how long?
Ive used DaleExpress for large items before, check your yellow pages to see if you have one near by. Typical cost £25 to ship a 23lb mountain bike from London to Southampton. All items must be boxed and secure though.

    Check out Staples.

They have a range of prices depending on where it's going.

Something that can cost £20-25 to post with parcelforce can cost as little as £8 with staples.co.uk services.

Best to pop into a branch and have a chat with their customer service people .
Sometimes you wake up grumpy ... but if you're wise, you'll let her sleep in.

You probably already have ... but if you haven't, it would be worth your while posting the same question on ebay's postal related community boards. I'm sure there are loads of ebay sellers who have had to find apropriate shipping services for overly long items.

They can't be that hard to find either because a newbie ebay seller posted me a full on big studio easel only a few mths ago... I'll send her an e-mail and ask her which service she used. If she replies I'll post it here for you Dan29.
