No drain outside?

I'm buying a new build and have noticed there isn't a drain in the garden where the outside tap is. Is this okay or should there be a drain? I ask as there is only grass and it is very patchy in this particular area.
Any advice is much appreciated.

I'd say it was perfectly normal - especially as the consideration at the moment is not to put too much water into storm drains etc but to use the garden to soakaway. All new houses have to have soakaways for rainwater so it makes sense that your garden tap runs to the garden. You could slab underneath a little just so water doesn't drop directly onto the ground and make it muddy?

Never had a drain under a garden tap before, so i'd say there doesn't need to be a drain. Just be careful and try not to drop too much on the ground :)
