Epsom Salts

I have been to the vet today for my pup.. she's just off heat and her mammary glands are swollen due to post-heat hormones apparently. The vet suggested that I soak a facecloth in epsom salts and hold that against her belly to ease it a bit because she was getting a little irritated and keeps fussing at them. That's all fine but I forgot to ask how much to dissolve in the water.. does anyone have any idea?
