I'm a first-time buyer and a bit confused who I should get to do what to modernise our bathroom, also what we should pay. I'd like a bath moved which will mean a plumber moving it, plumbing in and boxing it in and possibly moving and plumbing in the sink elsewhere in the room. I've been given an estimate of £700.00 (incl VAT) for that by a CORGI plumber but is that reasonable?
Also, plumber says he can fit extractor fan and a thermostatic shower; not sure if I wouldn't be better off getting an NICEIC electrician for that, though, as I'd have thought I'd need them for Part P? Plumber not on NICEIC register.
Finally, we can't find a tiler anywhere in Coventry to do a bit of bathroom tiling; someone who works with the plumber will I think do it but maybe that means we'd pay a premium as plumber would basically be subcontracting. Any ideas welcome. Thanks in advance for help!

I think £700 for moving bath and sink is too much, I know a plumber that will replace both and a toliet for £300, a bit more for moving pipes but not £400 more!!! but he's in the south-east. You might be better off getting a plumber who isn't corgi reg as corgi is only required for gas and corgi plumbers charge more.
As for the shower you will need a plumber with part p or get a plumber and an electrician. 2nd option will be more expensive.0 -
Try Coventry Plumbing & Heating Supplies over the road from the old city ground up Heighfiled Road.
Thay have some fantastic and very good priced bathroom stuff there. And I'm sure they will be able to recomend a good plumber/tiler at good prices.
