Extension quote

Hi all,
Just had a builder round to quote for replacing the 'sunroom' (glorified lean-to .. UPVC job) at the rear of the house with a proper brick built extension.
He reckons around £1000 per sq metre to do this, it's around 14sq m so £14k to rebuild the extension properly. +VAT of course.
This sound reasonable? The going rate?
