Snorkelling in Canaries ?

Hello all

Does anyone have any recommendations about where to stay in the Canary islands for good snorkelling ?(not scuba diving)

Any particular beaches/resorts - was thinking about Lanzarote but would consider any of the Canaries.

Cheers !

Well, I know that many people have enjoyed good snorkelling at the Papagayo beaches just next to Playa Blanca, and recommend it highly. However, when I went there earlier this year it was more like surfing conditions. I suspect there must be a certain time of year when the waters are calm?

Fantastic snorkelling at El Cotillo in Fuerteventura. A small village on the North west coast. There are white sanded lagoons sheltered by rocky volcanic reef so the water is calm & ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
