renal 2 hours from Alicante - any recommendations?

Does anyone have a min 2-bed apartment or house to rent on the coast max of 2 hour drive from Alicante airport? Looking for something walking distance of the beach and pref with a sea view and a pool. Dont want much do I! Would like pretty traditional seaside Spanish town. Have seen loads online but not really sure of the areas.

If you want a traditional spanish town with wonderful safe sandy beaches you cannot beat Villajoyosa. Try Mojacar, Vera, Almeria all along that coast are traditional, sunny and have beaches. Loads of rental properties.
Good road from Alicante to Almeria region about 75mins.

Not often, but I've been to Torrevieja. Traditional Spanish it is not.

second vote for javea here - we go every year and really enjoy it. Accommodation cheap compared to other parts of spain and not had a duff meal there yet. traditional spanish food at very good prices. there are lots of new apartments near the arenal which is where the lovely soft sand beach is - with plenty of restaurants to choose from and a lovely promenade.
