Have used Nero previoulsy to transcode, for instance, .avi to DVD but recently downloaded Cucusoft convertor as Nero takes forever. Now, I can transcode a lot faster but when I try to play these DVDs on my standalone, it says it can't play them. These DVDs, however, WILL play on my DVD player on my pc. So decided to go back to Nero and guess what? Nero transcoded DVDs will now not play on my home DVD player!!!!!! I assume it's not the dics themeleves as I have happily used them previously with Nero.
Any ideas/solutions will be greatly appreciated!

If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend 6 hours sharpening my axe

Ensure your dvd player is region free http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks Also, some players don't play some disks unless they specifically match the required standard. Try converting your files using this: http://freedownload.softonic.de/windows/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_0.52.99.exe use the 'auto' settings first. If your disk still won't play, then set the standards ie PAL and 25fps. If they still won't play, then there is something wrong with your dvd player.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
