Flat roof with sky light?? Any good

Hi
We have a large flat roof at the back of the house that needs re-doing.
Considering having some light put in as the two roofs under, kitchen and living roof very dark.
Are these any good and what would you advice.
Have a very good roofer as just done some work for us but would like more advice about whch type worked best and we don't have loads of money

You would need to make sure the skylight is suitable for a flat roof as many velux and the like have a minimum pitch requirement and therefore wouldn't be any good.

i have seen some designer type of horizontal glass skylights on Grand Designs, which could be opened using an electric motor, like a car sun roof! So guess it can be done.

Hi missymoo try these people,Ive dealt with them a few times over the years and they have been ok..They also do roof domes.You could also try looking for a "Sun pipe" just google it..

what about using caravan roof vents? cheap as chips.
or marine ones?
