I know this may be a silly question but could anyone tell me the difference between an NVQ and a Diploma?
I was hoping to do Animal Care but am slightly confused as to the differences incl cost
As I am a stay at home mum I would have to do either distance learning or evening/weekends?

What Level NVQ is it? And what Diploma is it?
If you can, give us the course links.

Here you can see (scroll to halfway) a table with the different levels of qualifications.0 -
To make it easier im probably better to explain what i am trying to achieve! Basically i wanted to apply for a job next year and they have said an NVQ level 3 in animal care would be desirable...
When I started looking online diplomas kept coming up so i just wondered what the difference was. i would be a muture student ie over 250 -
The word "diploma" can refer to lots of different qualifications.
NVQs are practical, workbased qualifications; if the job you want is asking for this, then I would go down this route.0 -
Ok thank you for explaining that :-)
I wonder how this could be achieved prior to applying for the job, could I do this in a voluntary placement?0 -

Try the above link.
Put Animal Care etc.
I found this one near me:

If you can see that...
ONW maybe better at giving specific details though.0 -
