Vented tumble dryer - how much do they cost to run?

I am thinking of buying a small vented tumble dryer such as this one;

If I were to do 2 loads a day, how much would this cost approximately (from anyone who has this model, how much do you pay)? I have never had a tumble dryer before but our washer dryer is crap and we have very little space.

Also, can you put a dryer in any room (such as a bedroom) and on a carpet or does it need to be on a special surface. I am assuming for a vented dryer you just need an power point and a window for the hose?

    Window for the hose is very crude...
    Much better in a room without carpets and soft furnishings.
    1.87KW/hr per cycle is approx (depends upon your tarrif) 18p per load

    The energy rating label on the device should tell you how much it uses per cycle. You can then use your own suppliers price to work out the cost.

    Rather than venting out the window I have seen 'condenser boxes' that you put the hose in which collects the water. Suspect this will be better in the winter and also means you can go out with it running as you dont need to leave the window open.

    Just looked on the sust-it site for you and although I did not see your model a sm White night was 25p per cycle and the large was 46p per cycle. I should think that depends on how many minutes you have it on for though as towels are going to take longer than cotton sheets.
    If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
