But that $2000 dress cost about £10 to make!! Even if I *could* buy designer clothes I never would after reading Fashion Babylon when you realise a bag they sell for £800 costs no more than £20 to make :eek:2010 is the year I'm going to sort my life out! :j

I have saturday/sunday coffee shop time where I take my book, enjoy a hot drink and read and chill. I wont let myself buy a coffee any other time and actually, I enjoy it more each week rather than slipping into the routine of having it every day.
Even on a budget you have to be nice to yourself- I feel its a bit like dieting- ban everything and you will just eat all the banned foods- if you ban all spending you are more likely to want to go and overspend, whereas little treats here and there might just help!
I have a MacDonalds breakfast once a month, I know its a waste of money and really bad for me to boot but I love it so allow myself it once a month and enjoy it :jDF as at 30/12/16

How about the weekly spend challenge? We declare what we want to spend Sun-Fri the week before and if we are good teddies and spend under, we are green.
I really struggle with the NSDs, tried that - informally- with myself this month and have not been that great at it.
Perhaps I need to get into it formally so I have a task or two.
Cheers for the pep talks!
