in Credit cards
Hi everybody,
I've just changed the billing address of my HSBC VISA card to my work address to enable me to get stuff sent to work when the retailer insists on sending goods only to the registered address of the card. The staff at the call centre insist that this change should take place instantly.
However, when I log into my paypal account to update the billing address on this card, it won't accept the new address, and reverts to the old. I've double and triple checked the addresses to make sure they match up, but no luck. Is there in fact some delay between telling my bank to update my records and this actually filtering through to whatever systems are checked?
Ta.

As far as I am aware paypal cannot verify non-US addresses so it should make no difference to them.0

Paypal can verify UK addresses - turns out that when I tried again this morning it was happy to accept my work address as the billing address, so I think it must just have taken a bit of time to propagate through whatever systems there are.[size=-2]Matched betting profit: ~ £30,000 since Jan 2005
