The £3.95 charge is for Next Day Delivery, as stated in the following taken from the website:
Ordered at 16:22 on Friday and received nothing Saturday. Received nothing today, too, and in there was my GF's Anniversarry present for yesterday (Sunday.)
Im that annoyed, I am this close to cancelling the whole order. Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this before with these companies (Littlewoods Direct/Very.co.uk, Additions Direct, Marshall Ward) and whether its worth kicking off to see if they might back down on levying the Delivery Charge (minimum.)
- Next day delivery - £3.95 - to ensure next day delivery place your order before 6pm.

You have to pay more for a saturday delivery. From their website:
"Saturday delivery - £6.95 (order Thursday before 6pm for a Saturday delivery)"
It looks like they should be delivering today to you!0 -
Website says:
Deliveries are usually between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Specified day deliveries on Saturdays will usually be between 7am and 5pm.
So you should receive your delivery anytime up to 6pm tonight.
When most sites say 'next day delivery', this usually means next working day.¿Alguien ha visto a mi nave espacial?
Biting is excellent. It's like kissing, only there's a winner.0 -
Ill hold out until 6pm, then. However, upon looking at the site, it now says the items (5 in total) are all coming from their respective manufacturers. Which probably means Marshall Ward is just the 'middle-man' taking the money.
I have previously had this come up with Xbox Games, which are sent from the supplier of Xbox Games through Royal Mail post. Could it be that these other items will come via Royal Mail also?0 -
When you order it gives you an expected delivery date, what date does it say ?
Was the item in stock when you ordered or did it say something like "within 7 days"
All goods come via HDNL even if from manufacturer0 -
Well, two of the five came on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday. All posted by a Royal Mail postman.
The expected dates were around the 12th/13th, apart from one item I knew wasnt currently available, and another that will be delivered (or at least better be) on Saturday (my birthday) for Mothers Day.
All arrived, eventually. Just the last two, which will be delivered when they are supposed to be and are in stock.
Still annoyed about the £4 Ive paid for next day delivery, and not getting them until Tuesday/Wednesday, when normally it would have been Saturday.0
