I was looking forward to getting film four on freeview but can't seem to get it.
I have tried all options (resetting the box to add new channels) but it can't seem to find it.
Anyone else struggling?
We get our signal from Bilsdale, North Yorkshire.
Any Bilsdale freeviewers found filmfour?

I cant see what else you should need to do rather re-scan the channels or manually adding teh channel if your box will let you, channel 31, its replacing the channel used for More4 +1I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Do you know how to display the signal strength of a channel on your box?
FilmFour is on MuxD which is channel 42 on the Bilsdale transmitter.
It's more than likely you don't have the right aerial.
Type yout postcode into wolfbane to see what type of aerial you require.
I need a new aerial to get FilmFour0 -

I will see if there is a factory reset mode, to clear it all right out.
I will also see if I can get more4 +1 as that will clarify what is going on.0 -
it's also been hot, my freeview box keeps losing/gaining channels on a daily basis at the moment
due to "atmospherics"

Yes I think I can check the channel strengths on the box.
The aerial is about 8 years old and used to work fine with an ondigital box.
Our house is the tallest in the street! On a clear day I think I could probably see the transmitter.
If I can get other channel 42 stuff then surely filmfour will work too?
Will give me some stuff to try tonight anyway, thanks!0 -

Can't see why not. Here's a channel/mux line up.0 -
Switch the whole thing off and remove the plug from the socket.
After 20 minutes plug it back in and switch on. Sorted!0 -

That's helpful but I think you are the bearer of bad tidings.
From memory I can't get any of the MuxD stuff so it looks like new aerial time.
This opens up new options. If I am paying someone to go up on the roof and fit a new aerial why don't I get the free sky package. Food for thought.0 -

The reason that you can't get MUX D is because it is out of band compared to the other channels.
1....2....3....4...............Terestrial Chans
33...26..29..35
1....2...A....B....C...D......Digital MUX's
34..21..31..27..27..42
All of the channels except 42 fall into a Group A aerial band, so you either need a Group K or a wideband aerial.
