Add/Remove Programs

I'm having a clean up of my HD to free up space. I've been removing unused programs. I use PaintShopPro 9 and on the XP Add/Remove Programs list there are three entries for it:
1. PSP9 185mb
2. PSP9.01 Patch 242mb
3. PSP9 GDI + Patch 169mb

From the above it appears to me that I could remove entries 1 & 3.
Am I correct?

    no, the patches were updates to the original PSP9 program

    The patches are bigger than the original program by the looks of it. Are they not the original program plus the patch in these entries?

    It really confuses me that the patch is bigger than the original program...

    Go into program files and look to see what files are in each folder

    There are no duplicate files are far as I can see.

    Should be OK to remove them..as they do not look like "shared" files,
