Read in the paper a couple of days ago that BA are going to be charging customers for booking online. I think the charge was £1, but not sure. So I guess the alternative is to phone them on a ridiculously high charge 0870 number, or trudge down to your travel agent to do it! They also said they were reducing the travel agents commission to 0%, so some agents may charge a 'booking fee' for the trouble of making the booking for you.

Who on earth said that British Airways was the 'World's Favourite Airline'??? I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!

The online booking fee is going to be £1 but they have reduced the flights by £1 so in effect one cancels the other out. This was on Working Lunch last Friday BBC2. Personally I will still use BA when I have the choice.

Hi. Remember when you book with many of the online agents, they will charge you to use your credit card, BA don't do that (yet). Also several travel agents already charge you a non-refundable booking fee, as yet BA have not started charging this yet (don't know if the £1 will be refundable or not, but I know that certain online agents charge as much as £10).

BA are not that bad really, its just media spin.
