PoGo printer

Hi all, hope there are some "Electronics Techies" out there!

I have just bought a Polariod PoGo portable printer, but the problem is the battery only lasts long enough to print off 10 pictures, and would you believe it Polariod dont do spare batteries, but in any case what I am looking for is a portable (we are talking carrying on my person, not in a car) solution, now the main charger/adaptor has the following printed on it
Input 100-240v~47-63Hz 0.7 A MAX
Output 9V ___ 3A LPS
---
now I know you can usually get an adaptor for say a mains powered dvd player/computer that you plug into your car cigarette lighter socket so is there anyway I can connect some sort of portable battery I was thinking small motorcycle ? (yes I know not a good Idea Acid!! but I have read somewhere Gel batteries are available) or maybe something similar to the inlet side of the charger/adaptor that would then have enough power to charge/power the PoGo battery enabling me to print a lot more pictures

any Idea's would be appreciated

Regards Citycastaways

A 12 volt gel battery such as the Yuasa ones that Maplin sell for burglar alarm panels would work OK with a car voltage adapter to take it down to 9 volts.

But perhaps a simpler solution would be the 6AA version of these, plus six rechargeable AA batteries:

You would however need to make up a connector from the PP3 battery style terminals to whatever power input the printer has.

Incidentally, you can get spare batteries - Amazon sell them for example. But at £20 it probably makes more sense to buy a second PoGo and use the battery from that!
