DLA - Doctor not fufilling promises to claims dept.

Hi, I'm new to this board and hope that you can help put my mind at a bit of rest
I send my claim form to the DLA on the 7th April and kept getting letters apologising that they haven't made a decision yet  I was granted DLA for ME but it's been a good few years since I had it.
Anyway, I spoke to claims helpline and they said there are tons of notes on my account that they've been chasing the doctor up for 3 months and he's made empty promises or just ignored them. I have now been informed by my surgery that he is on leave (again!!!) for 3 weeks. Where do I stand on this? I've been told a locum is unable to fill forms in.
Secondly, after informing the DLA that he's going away for 3 weeks, she said she's putting a note on the account and the decision maker will decided whether to goo ahead without the doctors report. Where do I stand on this? Is it more likely to be a good outcome or will it just be refused because they don't have enough info?
I'm sorry for the long post!! Thank you in advance for your time

Sorry to hear about your problems. I have sympathy with you - I too have ME. Have you had help at all from your local Citizens Advice Bureau? They may be able to help you.
Have you any other medical professionals that could write also? I have ME and have just attended a clinic - if you have done anything like this would the people that run it be able to write about you?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
I would speak to the CAB, see if they can help.
Are there any other doctors in the practice who are not locums? Perhaps if you saw one of them filled them in on the condition then the agency would accept them filling in the form.0 -
You could always request copies of all your medical records that they hold - you will prbably have to put it in writing to the practice manager - it may be worth contacting them to see what their procedure is for thisWeight Loss - 102lb0
