Help Overcharged by M&S

Hi can any one give me some advice.

I purchased a number of items the other day 5 to be precise from Mark's.

The total price came to £99 which I thought was around right but on checking my receipt I have been charged twice for the same item.

I know I should have checked my receipt but the assistance was so chatty and the receipt just went in the bag, then in my purse. It wasn't until today when I've been updating my bank statements that I realsied the error.

Help.

Christine

I was overcharged by M&S - an item went through twice - and didn't notice until I got home. I rang up the store and they immediately refunded my card, no questions asked.

I was charged twice for the same item in M&S (sales assistant was so chatty) and I went back next morning and they refunded no problem when I explained.

This has happened to me on several occasions in our local Asda. I gave the details from the receipt (till number etc) and received a refund without a problem. I think you'll be fine with M&S

Thanks I hate stuff like this. Phoned the store and spoke to a lovely lady called Pauline she asked me for my receipt number (they can see your receipts apparently) she saw that I had been charged twice for the same item and refunded my card straight away. She couldn't apologise enough.

So big thumbs up for M&S.
  • This has happened to me before, I now make sure I check every receipt when I shop, but Marks & Spencer sorted it over the phone and when it happened in Sainsburys they took the details over the phone, logged it and sorted it when I was next in store.
