I just had a call from an EON salesman. I told him I didn't want to change supplier. He said a condition of competition entry was to agree to a price comparison - so I withdrew my entry!0
-
I had the same call the other day, I said "you can can give me a quote if you have to but I will never accept it so your wasting both of our time, you could actually earn some commsion from someone else" He said thank you for being honest and agreed to enter me anyway, don't know how true that is but not much I can do anyway;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I am now being hounded by Eon on the mobile that I used to enter this competition. The marketing department admit they have my details as a result of entering this Argos competition. They ring from 0800 6121698.
I wouldn't mind so much BUT I AM ALREADY AN EON CUSTOMER and have been for years.
Each time they have promised to remove my number but have lied. Tonight, after a string of expletives, I have warned them that if they ring my mobile again I will change my energy supplier.
Update - following a really helpful chat with the Eon Complaints team, if you dial the free phone number that Eon are calling you from (you may need to drop the first zero if ringing from a mobile), wait for it to connect to the automated answer message, then select option 2. Your number will then be removed from their marketing list.0
