Cat being a scavenger!
Comments
-
I was just doing on online shop on Tesco and looked at their range of cat food, it was pretty confusing. Here's a roundup -
Just Nature. ??% meat. Clicking on the link brings up some message about not relying on the info on the site?
Finest pouches 50% meat, £7.06 per kg
Luxury chicken pouches x12 50% meat, only £2.91 per kg. Don't think this is on offer either, but it's way cheaper than the Luxury fish version which is £4 per kg. Are they discontinuing this line or something?
Premium fish pouches x12. 8% meat £2.48 per kg.
So for two products with the same meat content there is a price difference of £3.65 per box. Think I'll be stocking up on the chicken version!D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
Maybe on the new food he will be less hungry due to the higher meat content? But is it worth taking him up to 3 pouches a day on the new food seeing as the cereal content should be lower and also the pouches will be 85g whereas the ones we give him now are 100g?
I can only talk about what happened with our dog ( i know its not the same)
We changed from Cesar ( and thier ilk) to NatureDiet from PAH. There is hardly any price differential, Im certian that the Nature Diet even works out a bit cheaper. She has alsohad applaws and forthglade which is a food suitable for cats and dogs. ( she loves forthglade!) She is still a scav, but I really dont think she is hungry. I know that I couldnt say that when she was eating commercial fod, as water was one of the main ingredients- and the smell _pale_ weirdly natural foods hardly smell at all???
4% meat, in go cat what a joke. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I got caught by the Just Nature which does contain rice so probably not ideal for slimming. IICR the first ingredient is something like 'meat and meat derivatives of which 50% meat' which is is not actually the same as saying 50% meat. In the last couple of weeks the chicken Luxury has reduced from £4 per box to £3 per box - this is the normal offer price BUT it is not showing up as an offer. No idea why but definitely stock up if Charlie likes it!!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Does the cat go outside? He could be bored.
Worm him & feed him raw: - fills them up0 -
Hi all, I think I'll see how Charlie goes with the Tesco Luxury -our shopping is being delivered tomorrow so I'll monitor how he gets on.
No he's totally indoor as we're near a main road and building site and we don't have a cat flap so I'd worry if he was out all day. Plus he gets scared when we open the window so much as an couple of inches so not sure he likes the outside world!
I have given him raw chicken before and he loves it. but again, not sure how much to give him if he's getting wet food too. I don't want to over feed him0
